The Gentoo Penguin (Pygoscelis papua) is identified by its characteristic eye flashes and bright orange bill. They are pan-Antarctic and Southern Ocean and were first described in 1761 in the Falkland Islands. Most of these photos were made in the Falklands, South Georgia, and the Antarctic Peninsula.
